Kudos to SLO

I
always
knew
San Luis Obispo County
was
special
place

                   clean air
         no traffic
           fabulous restaurants
stellar world-renowned wineries
outrageous hiking
biking
and running
trails
                      beaches
and
                          mountains
history
great shops
and the nicest peeps

hey!
I am a bit
prejudiced..
but
I
 am not the only
one
that
feels this way
about
SLO County!!!!

Thank you, Jo Packham!

When
first
started my
blog
I admitted
to
being
hopelessly
addicted
to
magazines

I
have
been getting
better
       really...
well..
a little better

there
are
a few
magazines

though

that
I am unable
to walk
past
or
not
order
on
Amazon

Where Women Create
Where Women Cook
Where Women Create - business

publications
created
by
Jo Packham

and
I still
have
each
and every
magazine
here a just a few

and
each and every
magazine
has
 continued
to
inspire
me

always
love
Jo's

and
I
inhale
the
 stories
about
all the
passionate
artists
cooks
bakers
crafters
designers
and
business folk
that
the
publications
highlight and feature

Thanks
to
Judy Watkins
and
I
got
to meet
Jo Packham

and
she
stayed
with us
at
Petit Soleil
for the
Remnants of the Past weekend
that's Jo at Petit!!!!

I mean..

to me
Jo Packham
is a
ROCK STAR!

Needless
to
say
I was beyond
flattered
when
she
asked
us
about
featuring
Petit Soleil
in
Where Women Create- Business
as
a
husband and wife team
in
 business

awesome, right?

Thank you
Jo Packham
for
recognizing
our
passion

AND
thank you
for
your
gorgeous

Winter, CA Style

Winter
in
California

(especially in the Central Coast)

is
pretty
amazing!

sunshine
...
so
much
sunshine

warm
days
and
cool
evenings

December 29th, 2013
..
much
of
the nation
 cold   rainy   snowy

but
Morro Bay
(about 12 miles from SLO)
was
a
crystal clear 73 degrees

Our
BFF's
Tami and Mike

called
and
said
"Hey!  Let's go boating in Morro Bay"
yeah!

We packed
up
a
couple
bottles
of
bubbles
(to celebrate Tami's birthday)
and
some
munchies
and
rented
this
adorable
8
passenger
boat
from
and spent
the next
few
 hours
cruising
around
Morro Bay

both
John and Mike
got
to
captain
for
awhile
                                  aye aye, Matey

we
sipped
and
 nibbled
and
laughed
at
the
barking
sea lions
basking in the sun

and
the
otters
frolicking
in and out of the water

and were
awed
by
the
sparkling beauty
of
the
December
afternoon

Wearable Art

I
wanted
to
share
with
you
my
favorite
apron

it
used
to
hang
in
our kitchen
at
home
on an
antique hanger
as
a
piece
of
ART

but
now
I
am
wearing
my
hand made
art apron
during
breakfast
at
Petit

my
BFF
Barbara
made
this
beauty
for
me

I mean
really?

crazy chickens, mixer blades
an egg
and
red rick rack
perfect

Barbara
has
lots
of
one of a kind
hand made
wearable
art
at
 Happy Go Smile
in Cayucos...

     but this beauty is mine!

New (Old) Copper from Orleans, France

Don't you
 love
love
love
our
new
(OLD)
copper pots?
these
fabulous
copper pots
are
from
guests that stayed
at
Petit Soleil

They lived
in
in
the
1960's
and brought
back these
 pots

I guess
they
decided
to
redecorate their home
and
they
sold
us
their
copper

Yes sir -
they
are just
what
Petit needed

I love
the
rustic
feel
that
Petit Soleil's
sun -filled
dining room
now
has

Come and See!!
